Matobo, Zimbabwe- In a heartwarming display of community support, the Matabeleland South Volleyball Association (MSVA) donated three volleyball balls to Bazha Secondary School in Matopo District.

The generous gesture stems from an interview with a freelance journalist that was circulating in May on social media where the school Headmaster, Mr Nkosikhona Dube highlighted the school’s dire need for assistance with sports equipment.

Moved by Dube’s plea, the MSVA President Hon. Mzi Gumbo and his Executive Committee sprang into action, purchasing the balls to aid the school’s volleyball program. The balls were delivered to Bazha Secondary School in August, marking a significant boost to the school’s sports development. “We’re grateful to MSVA for this kind donation,” said Headmaster Dube. “These balls will greatly enhance our students’ volleyball experience.”

MSVA President Hon. Mzi Gumbo emphasized the Association’s commitment to promoting volleyball in Matabeleland South and thanked the volleyball community at large in their efforts to support programs that are being organised by the Association. “We’re proud to support Bhazha Secondary School’s volleyball growth,” Gumbo said. “This donation demonstrates our dedication to developing the sport across the region. Also, we would like to reiterate that if we get more support from our volleyball family, we can do more to develop the sport in our province”

The Matabeleland South Volleyball Association’s generosity has been hailed by the volleyball community, with praise pouring in from schools, players, and fans.
