The Matabeleland South Volleyball Association (MSVA) successfully launched its 2025 season with a virtual meeting held on January 25, 2025. The meeting, attended by various club reps, aimed to discuss key aspects of the upcoming season, including the 2025 calendar, league format, and plans for growth and development.
Highlights of the meeting included the announcements for the introduction of Beach Volleyball series, MSVA awards, and the election of the League committee. The association also plans to host a Women in Sport tournament in September.
The MSVA 1st Vice president Dr. Mathe presented the proposed league format, which includes the payment of ZVA gazetted fees and a new league structure. Members contributed to the discussion, raising points on feasibility, logistics, and the need for a sponsorship committee. The meeting concluded with a call to action, emphasizing the importance of teamwork, professionalism, and sponsorship to drive the association’s growth and success.
