MSVA LEAGUE

Matabeleland South Volleyball Association (MSVA) organises the MSVA League that spans from April to November every year. The MSVA League was formed on the 30th of November, 2013 and inaugurated in 2014 with the men’s category. The pioneer clubs were Izihlobo, ZRP Gwanda, Jessie Mine, Matopo Dolphins and Mzingwane Vipers.

The 2025 MSVA League is set to start in March, after the Opening Tournament. Registration fees will be announced during the AGM.

HISTORY OF THE LEAGUE

2024 Men

The 2024 MSVA League was won by Beitbridge Eagles, matches were played in the province’s major centres, namely, Gwanda, Colleen Bawn, Mtshabezi, Filabusi and Beitbridge.

2023 Men

The 2023 MSVA League was won by Beitbridge Eagles, matches were played in the province’s major centres, namely, Colleen Bawn, Mtshabezi, Filabusi and Beitbridge.

2023 Women

The 2023 MSVA League did not kick off because of less than minimum number of teams that registered.

2022 Men

The 2022 MSVA League saw the Beitbridge Eagles emerge as champions. Given the high volume of participating clubs, district leagues were established, wherein each district’s victors advanced to the provincial finals to ascertain the ultimate provincial standings.

2022 Women

The 2022 MSVA League was participated by three women’s teams.

The 2021 MSVA League was cancelled due to COVID-19 lockdown.

The 2020 MSVA League was cancelled due to COVID-19 lockdown.

2019 Men

The 2019 MSVA League was participated by seven teams in the men’s category. Matches were played in Gwanda, Beitbridge and Filabusi.

2019 Women
