The Matabeleland South Volleyball Association recently organised a successful coaching workshop at Gwanda High School in Gwanda. Drawing in 12 eager participants, the session was expertly moderated by ZVA instructor Vulindlela Moyo, also known as Coach Jasper. With extensive experience as an FIVB certified coach, Coach Jasper previously spearheaded a similar workshop in Plumtree within the Bulilima-Mangwe district early last year. Attendees consistently praise Moyo’s workshops, describing them as eye-opening experiences that shed light on previously unexplored aspects of volleyball.

In the meantime, MSVA has outlined plans for a series of forthcoming refereeing and coaching workshops, aiming to conduct at least one workshop per quarter. The next workshop is likely to focus on refereeing, with online registration currently in progress MSVA Media Team. This has been necessitated by the need to train as many coaches and referees as possible so as to improve the standard of volleyball in clubs and schools around the Matabeleland South province.
